It's that time of year again! Auditions for Z Dynasty dance teams will commence in mid-August, with workshops being hosted on August 17 and 18 (Saturday and Sunday). After learning the routine, dancers will have a week to practice and will audition the following week on August 24 and 25. Each dancer will be given at least 2 chances to dance in front of the judges and are encouraged to freestyle after their 2nd round. Freestyles should showcase any styles or tricks dancers are able to execute. After that, the judges may do "callbacks" where a select few dancers will be asked to dance again. You can find the full schedule for each dance team below. Dancers planning to audition must also fill out an audition form (link below).
Team rosters will be announced via Instagram on September 1st (Sunday) during Labor Day weekend. Dancers who make their respective teams will be contacted via email as well. Those who audition and make it on multiple teams will receive separate confirmation emails for each team.
The monthly tuition structure for single or multiple teams is below:
1 team = $149
2 teams = $199
3 teams = $224
4 teams = $249
Members of the Z Dynasty Dance Company will receive the following perks as part of their monthly tuition:
- Unlimited classes at RNDZVS The Studio
- Access to "Open Lab Hours" at RNDZVS The Studio whenever classes are not in session
- Priority registration and referrals for talent agency and label auditions
IMPORTANT NOTE
Z Dynasty company members will be required to take 4 classes per month at RNDZVS The Studio. Our mission as a dance company is to have dancers who continuously improve in their craft, which can only be done by constantly training and learning. We understand circumstances and unforeseen events may hinder some dancers from achieving this requirement consistently (live too far, classes are too late, etc). However, this requirement is not to be seen merely as a check box, but rather as a benchmark for dancers to commit to that will reap benefits quickly. DO I NEED TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP IN ORDER TO AUDITION?
All dancers are required to learn the routine on their own if they are unable to attend the workshop. Regardless if you attend the workshop or not, the audition fee is $50.
IF I'M UNCERTAIN ABOUT ATTENDING THE AUDITION, CAN I JUST SIGN UP FOR THE WORKSHOP?
Yes, dancers who would like to attend the workshop only can purchase in the iClassPro app under the "Find A Class" section (link here). If a dancer decides to audition after attending the workshop, they can purchase the workshop in the same section after August 19 (Monday).
I WON'T BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE AUDITION. DO YOU ACCEPT VIDEO SUBMISSIONS?
Yes, we will accept video submissions from dancers who are unable to attend the audition in person. Dancers must still pay $50 in order for their video submission to be considered. Video submitters must also contact us at hello@kpopdancedallas.com to let us know their situation and to keep an eye out for video submissions.
WHAT IS GEMZ?
GEMZ is our adult training team that helps dancers over the age of 18 get accelerated training to help them reach their dance goals sooner. Dancers on GEMZ will be able to take unlimited classes at RNDZVS The Studio while also rehearsing together on Wednesdays from 8PM to 10PM, while putting together a show during the ZDYNASTY Mid Year Showcase and RNDZVS The Show at the end of the season (usually the end of May or beginning of June).
